My sister is amazing! She handmade this toy box for little man. Every piece of wood was cut to just the right size.
Every rough spot was smoothed over with sand paper.
She carefully picked out the stain and the paint color.
Over the course of days painted with the upmost precision.
This was a surprise to me. I cried when I saw this. This is the brand used by my grandpa and my dad on our ranch. (you didn't know I was a country girl did you) The toy box was branded with the original branding iron. So much history in that!
This toy box is handmade with love, hard work, and a touch of history. Who can put a price on that?
I love it! I am so proud of my sister! I couldn't have asked for something more beautiful.

ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful!! I've been wanting to get in making toy boxes and antique furniture like that! Oh and wanted to let you know that I was the one that emailed you a few weeks ago bout the infertility book about my friend. Well before she could even buy it, she got pregnant! I'm so happy for her because we were really scared for a while because she has a tilted uterus. Anyways, thanks for emailing me back because i will be buying it for myself!
