I am thankful for family that watched little man while we enjoyed our getaway just the two of us. It was so nice to be able to sleep in every morning, take walks at a local park together, and enjoy each other's company without any responsibility.
We are hoping to be able to get away at least once a year without kids. They won't all be like this one but even just a few nights away down the road, is an investment in our marriage we both feel like is necessary.

ReplyDeleteI believe that it is a gift to your children when you nurture your marriage! Even more awesome that it was a surprise! It really warms my heart when I see other happy marriages especially when God is the center of them.
