But what started out as a rainy Christmas morning turned into a beautiful white Christmas day. It was sort of storybook. We had a fire in the fireplace, a perfect table setting with beautiful China, family arrived, amazing food, and snow gingerly falling out the window. In my book it was a perfect Christmas.
The only downside is in the south we aren't always prepared for snowy weather since it is so rare. We didn't have any snow gloves for the boys. But they still loved playing in it. We even got out the sled that I use as a prop and the boys went down a hill on it. Hubby and his brother got into a snowball fight with the boys and a neighbor. The snowball fight with the boys was mainly one-sided and eventually ended in tears. Even though the time outside ended in tears it will definitely be a Christmas we won't be forgetting any time soon. And we are so thankful the Lord blessed us with a white Christmas.
We all had a blast playing in the snow, playing games by the fire, laughing, eating and swapping stories. Wouldn't it be great if we could have a white Christmas every year?!
I hope you all had a wonderful time enjoying the holidays with your families! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our family to yours!
How wonderful for your family! That last shot is a great family picture! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Heather!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! We had a little snow sprinkle down here as well. But it was gone pretty quick. First time they have had snow on Christmas in 60 years. A real miracle.
ReplyDeleteWe had a white christmas up here in VA! And the forecast is calling for more tomorrow! Hoping to take my little guy out in it to play and get some great shots like you did!
